TABLE TENNIS:
THE battle between Honeywell ‘B’ and Rosehill ‘B’ in Division One of the Oldham Table Tennis League ended honours even at 5-5. The result kept both sides out relegation positions.
All six players contributed, with Lukasz Maciejewski (two) Ken Hayes and Peter Fowler for Honeywell and Phil Ashworth (two) Andy Perry (two) and Simon Collins for the visitors on the mark.
Hollinwood ‘B’ slipped to second from bottom after a 7-3 reverse at high-flying Saddleworth ‘A’, while Hollinwood ‘C’ remain rooted to the foot of the table following a 10-0 whitewash at Werneth ‘A’.
Glodwick ‘B’ suffered two heavy defeats, 8-2 to BAE and 10-0 against their ‘A’ team, who now lead by 15 points.
