SPRINGBANK ‘A’ recorded the perfect victory over Blue Club ‘B’ in the Pet Au Purrs Oldham Amateur League.
John Murray got the ball rolling by taking the first frame for the away side before wins from John Woolley, Jimmy Joncyk and Martin Hands gave Springbank an unassailable 4-0 lead.
M Taylor was given the task of avoiding the whitewash for Blue Club, but Kenny Joncyk had other ideas. He took the final frame to complete the 6-0 whitewash.
A delegates meeting will be held on Sunday at Chadderton Reform. All knock-out results must be submitted to Craig Hall before this meeting.
MOSS INN defeated Comrades ‘B’ 5-1 to go above them and into second spot in the Saw-Tech Shaw Snooker League.
Victory was achieved by Moss despite a 102-48 win for C Sladen of Comrades ‘B’ in the opening frame.
