BASKETBALL:
OLDHAM Titans suffered a 93-51 defeat at Stockport Falcons in North Conference Division Four.
Mark Hamilton’s side led for the majority of the first quarter and entered the second with an 18-15 advantage, thanks to good work from skipper Adam Graham and Robert Mubiru.
But the hosts moved up several gears and at the halfway stage enjoyed a 37-28 lead.
James Harvery gave Titans hope with a three-point shot in the third quarter, but Stockport still had more in the locker and entered the final quarter 62-41 to the good.
The Oldham outfit could not keep up with their opponents and struggled to claim rebounds, with the home team registering a further 31 points to Titans’ 10.
Next up for Hamilton’s side is a home clash with Merseyside Tigers on Saturday.
