NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:
DAVE Young is in line to make his Mossley debut in tomorrow’s Evo-Stik League Division One North home clash with Lancaster City.
The 25-year-old former Glossop North End skipper, who operates in central midfield, made the move to Seel Park after 20 appearances this term for title-chasing Curzon Ashton.
He led Glossop to the FA Vase final at Wembley almost four years ago — just the kind of pedigree new boss Steve Halford has been looking for.
Mossley, currently 17th in the table, are 10 places and 20 points behind tomorrow’s opponents.
Supporters planning to go to the match should check www.mossleyweb.com before setting off, in case the fixture is postponed due to adverse weather conditions.
CHADDERTON entertain strugglers Ashton Town tomorrow in Vodkat
North-West Counties League Division One.
Chadderton can climb from sixth if they win and fifth-placed Rochdale Town lose or draw, and will be confident of bagging maximum points against a side third from bottom.
OLDHAM Boro go to Holker Old Boys in NWCL Division One for a mid-table battle.
Nick Murphy is out with a knee injury, but Lee Deakin returns following a month out due to other commitments.
Boro boss Tony Mills said: “We have our fingers crossed the match gets played — they haven’t had snow at their end, just the frost.”
