BOWLS:
THE winners of the Inbev Winter Bowls League ‘A’ Division title will be decided tomorrow.
Waterloo and Taunton are in pole position, boasting an 11-point lead over Springbank, who have a game in hand.
The latter have the chance to apply some pressure when they take on Nimble Nook at 11am and Hopwood at 1pm.
Assuming they win both matches - which the form book suggests they will - then Waterloo and Taunton may have to beat Springhead convincingly in the division’s final game of the season at 3pm.
The final set of fixtures in the ‘B’ Division, already won by New Street, will be held on Sunday.
MANCHESTER Premier League winners Tonge will take on their Birmingham counterparts, M and B of Cheslyn Hay, Wolverhampton, in a challenge match at Wharton Conservative Club, Cheshire, on Thursday, April 5 (7.20pm).
