TABLE TENNIS:
AFTER a run of four draws, Our Lady’s ‘A’ defeated Unison ‘C’ 7-3 to claim their first win of the season and ignite hopes of avoiding relegation in Division Four of the Oldham Table Tennis League.
Junior player Lewis Toal stepped up a division and was the star player, bagging a vital treble for his team.
He was supported by doubles from father and daughter, Dean and Paige Allman.
Elsewhere, Werneth ‘F’ visited bottom-of-the-table Honeywell ‘G’ and returned with a healthy 8-2 win.
A treble by Dave Jefferson led the way for Werneth, while Ronnie Holt’s double was in vain for the hosts.
