Springbank rally after early shock

SNOOKER:
A FRAME-WINNING break of 40 from Colin Tanahill gave Three Cs ‘A’ the perfect start in their Pet Au Purrs Oldham Amateur Snooker League match against Springbank ‘A’.
However, it was all downhill from there as Springbank rallied to take the next four frames and record a 5-1 victory.
Geoff Hill’s break of 33 helped High Crompton to a 4-2 victory at North Chadderton.
Deaf ‘B’ inflicted a 6-0 whitewash on Blue Club ‘A’, D Reece getting the ball rolling before wins for D Smith, J Harland, R Gilder and M J Smith.
YORKSHIRE Ward 2 moved level on points with the club’s No. 1 team in the Saddleworth Snooker League after whitewashing Greenfield 1.
G Robinson, M Shepherd and R Kershaw each made it to a century of points, with the latter compiling a break of 66. Greenfield 2 moved into the top half of the table thanks to a 5-1 win at Austerlands 1.
COMRADES ‘B’ are breathing down the necks of Saw-Tech Shaw Snooker League leaders Tara Leisure.
Comrades beat their club’s ‘A team 5-1 to move into contention for honours.
Crompton Cons beat Cricket 4-2 after winning the first four frames, all on the final black.
J Mills saved the day for Cricket, winning the final frame and clinching the aggregate point.
