LEE Humphries (GTI Gilders), organiser of the Chadderton Mill AC winter league, has not taken part in many matches this year.
But he managed to do so on Sunday and promptly won it with 18lb 2oz of skimmers and a last-cast carp which weighed 6lb and fell to pole-fished maggot on peg seven.
Second was Darren Webb (Medlock Bridge AC) with an 8lb carp and some bits which weighed in at 9lb 10oz.
Tied for second was Steve Hodges (Rochdale Angling) as his maggot approach netted him a 4lb carp and some bits.
The club’s annual meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 7 (7pm), at the Dog Inn, Block Lane, Chadderton.
Registration nights for the club are March 14 and 21 and, if there are any membership vacancies remaining, there will be a new member’s enrolment night on March 28 (7pm-8pm).
