DARTS:
THE Failsworth Premier League reached the final of the Manchester Log-End Federation Inter-League Knock-out after beating the Ashton League in a dramatic semi-final.
The high-quality encounter ended all-square at 5-5, resulting in a sudden-death play-off between a nominated player from each team.
Peter Ward, who plays for the Horseshoe in Newton Heath, squeezed home against the Ashton League’s Darren Hebb to earn the Failsworth outfit a place in the final. They will meet the Cheetham Hill and District League on a date to be arranged.
Failsworth trailed 3-1 and 5-3 in the match at the Albion in Dukinfield, but stormed back to force a draw and set-up a nail-biting victory.
