NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: MIDFIELDER Sam Freaks and winger Ryan Fagan will make their Oldham Boro debuts tomorrow against Vodkat North-West Counties League promotion hopefuls Irlam.
Lee Deakin, back from a trip abroad, also comes in for the Division One clash at Whitebank.
He replaces Andy Smith, who is expected to be out for up to six weeks after twisting a knee.
Freaks has joined the club from Rochdale Town, with Boro goalkeeper Gareth Fleming heading in the opposite direction.
Mid-table Boro are unbeaten in their last half-a-dozen league games — they have drawn four of them — but manager Tony Mills knows his side must be at their best to extend that run against fourth-placed Irlam.
He said: “We had a 2-0 lead at their place earlier in the season, but ended up losing the game 3-2.”
CHADDERTON are on a recovery mission in NWCL Division One.
Paul Buckley’s sixth-placed men were beaten 3-0 in midweek at Norton United and will look to get back on track at Holker Old Boys, who are 10th.
MOSSLEY have suffered a setback in their preparations for tomorrow’s Evo-Stik League Division One North fixture at Trafford.
Wing-back Tom Ingham faces a long spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury in a college game.
The talented youngster has pulled out of the England under-18s schoolboys squad and is awaiting an operation.
Mossley will be chasing only their third away win in the league this season when they go to Trafford, who are four places above them in 12th.
