Wizard Wild cruises into quarter-finals

SNOOKER: MOORSIDE snooker star Michael Wild is through to the quarter-finals of the Manchester Open at Riley’s, Belle Vue.
He defeated Levenshulme’s Ash Alaragi 3-0 with breaks of 54, 57 and 78, and followed up with another whitewash of Urmston’s Steven Groves, the highlight being a last-frame 67.
Oldham’s other representatives, Mick Dickinson, Ryan Duffy, Paul Morgan and Steve Hatherill, were all defeated. Wild left England today to represent his country in the European Three-Man Championship in Bulgaria.
