Heyside recover to smash eight

Heyside kept alive their Huddersfield and District League Division Two title dream with an 8-1 win over Cumberworth, despite going behind in the first minute.
On the mark for Heyside were Jason Titterington and Marcus Bernard with two goals apiece, Leon Perry, Rob Flynn, Danny Cashin and Ryan Barnes.
Heyside reserves bowed out of the Richardson Cup Huddersfield and District League at the quarter-finals stage, losing 3-1 at First Division Meltham Athletic reserves.
Jake Warburton got a late consolation for the visitors.
It came at the end of a decent spell of pressure from Heyside, who hit the woodwork four times as they bid to close the gap.
ODDIES star Kieron Holt and Carl Beamish, of Red Star, both scored four goals as the sides drew 6-6 in the D & J Builders (North-West) Ltd Oldham Sunday League Premier Division Shield.
Nathan Dawson bagged a brace for Oddies while Ryan Hobin and Mark Buckley completed the scoring for Red Star, who won the thrilling second-round clash on penalties.
Coppice United also progressed courtesy of spot-kicks — they got the better of hosts Fitton Hill Rangers after a 3-3 draw, in which Darren Scanlon, Gareth Armstead and Paul Badby netted for the home team.
Steve Barrow struck twice for the visitors, for whom Abid Ali also scored.
Limeside King George romped to a 5-1 victory over Rifle Range ‘A’, with Joe Heap and Wayne Ware both bagging braces and Warren Berry also on the mark. James Curley grabbed Rifle’s consolation goal.
Chaddy End pulled off a 4-0 win at Rifle Range Royle Blues after Ryan Baldwin’s double and efforts from Kane Heap and Lee Deakin. Radclyffe beat Oldham GPO 4-2 in the first round.
