CRICKET:
CROMPTON Cricket Club have strengthened their squad for the 2012 Lake Garage CLL season with the signing of West Indian Denis Louis.
The club’s new overseas amateur hails from St Lucia and has been recommended by former Glebe Street professional Darren Sammy, the West Indies captain.
Louis (20) is a top order batsman and off spin bowler, who has played Twenty20 cricket in the Winward Islands competition.
Crompton skipper Carl Taylor said: “Darren has played with him on a regular basis and knows his abilities.”
