NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:
MOSSLEY earned a 2-0 home win at the expense of Radcliffe Borough in Evo-Stik League Division One North.
Mark Rogers made his debut in defence. He replaced Keil O’Brien, who had an ear infection.
The Lilywhites dominated proceedings, with Tom Denton, Danny Queeley and Joe Heap going close early on.
The hosts went ahead in the 39th minute when Denton was felled in the penalty area and Heap converted the resultant spot-kick, with opposition goalkeeper Martin Campbell rooted to the spot.
With 64 minutes on the clock Denton nodded in his 10th goal of the campaign after good work from Heap down the left channel.
Denton then departed after injuring himself in the celebration, and he was replaced by Danny Hudson.
Steve Halford’s Mossley outfit were rarely troubled throughout proceedings and comfortably earned three points.
CHADDERTON cruised to a 3-0 home triumph over Ashton Town in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
Paul Socha opened the scoring one minute after the restart, following good work from Danny Shaw.
Andrew Kremner doubled the advantage, converting Chris Pauley’s wicked delivery.
And Tom Hughes played a neat one-two with Ben Fletcher before firing past the goalkeeper.
Chadderton boss Paul Buckley said: “We played some good stuff and opened them up in the second period.”
OLDHAM Boro did not have a game in NWCL Division One.
