PAUL Cartwright held his nerve to clinch a thrilling 6-4 success for Oldham against champions Burnley in the Lancashire GMC Super Eights Elite League.
The home side came back from 2-1 and 4-2 down in the clash at Queen Street Conservative Club.
Oldham, who are third in the table just three points off the lead, are away to fourth-placed St Helens on Sunday.
