RUGBY:
HIGGINSHAW boast one of the youngest coaching teams in local rugby league after the appointment of Chris Tomlin and Ryan O’Donnell.
O’Donnell is a year older than Tomlin at 25, and the pair have been handed the reins for the new North-West Men’s Open Summer League season, which starts next month.
With a couple of training sessions under their belts, they are enjoying the challenges that coaching brings.
“It’s gone well so far,” said Tomlin, who intends to carry on playing at prop.
“I’ve wanted to get in to coaching for the last couple of years and this is a great opportunity.”
