All-square for Oldham

DARTS: OLDHAM dug deep to claim a 5-5 draw in a topsy-turvy clash against St Helens in the Lancashire GMC Super Eights Elite League.

After losing the opening match, the town team hit back to lead 2-1 thanks to victories from Paul Cartwright (4-1, three-dart average of 77.11) and Gary Jackson (4-2, 76.00).

The contest was all-square after match eight, but it was Oldham who nosed in front again at 5-4 thanks to Stuart Holden, the man-of-the-match.

But St Helens secured a draw with victory in the final head to head. The result leaves Oldham third.
