Four too far for Bulldogs

TRYING TIMES . . . Fitton Hill's Jay Molloy breaks clear to score in the North-West Counties League clash.
RUGBY:
FITTON Hill Bulldogs slipped back to their “bad old ways” according to coach Mick Whaley, after they lost 37-18 at home to Woolston Rovers ‘A’ in the North-West Counties League.
The hosts were looking for a fourth win on the bounce in Division Four and a place in the top three.
However, the Bulldogs had to play second fiddle against the pacesetters.
Aaron Fleming scored a brace of tries, Jay Molloy touched down once and Martyn Swaine kicked three goals, but it was all to no avail at a sun-drenched Fields New Road.
“We lost our focus and our discipline,” said Whaley, who saw David Brookes sent to the sin bin in the first half. “We went back to our bad old ways.”
Fitton will look to hit back at Rochdale Mayfield on Saturday.
