CRICKET:
ROYTON are expecting a major turnout when they spruce up their Paddock ground this weekend as part of the Natwest Cricket Force initiative.
With the Lake Garage CLL season a fortnight away, members and other volunteers will paint fencing, repair sight screens, lay the boundary rope, clean pavilion seats and undertake general jobs such as tidying and weeding.
The club has committed funding towards preparing the square and already there has been a dramatic improvement in its appearance in the last two weeks. Several local businesses are lending their support.
Anybody willing to help can contact Bernard Wade on 07905 273655 or Darren Wrigley on 07802 557020. Alternatively, go to the Paddock at 10am on Saturday and/or Sunday.
