SPRINGHEAD had to settle for a 3-3 draw at home to Walshaw Sports despite leading twice.
The hosts had the better of the opening exchanges at Ashfield Crescent and went in front after half-an-hour through a sweetly-struck Paul Stevenson free-kick.
Walshaw restored parity on the stroke of half-time when a long-range effort deflected past goalkeeper Steve Szklanka into the net.
And the visitors led two minutes after the restart thanks in no small part to slack defending.
Springhead levelled matters within 60 seconds when Dave Ashworth got to the ball ahead of the goalkeeper and nodded home.
Rick Massey headed in Dale Jackman’s teasing delivery just after the hour mark, which should have ensured three points for his side.
But with only 10 minutes remaining, yet more poor defending allowed the away outfit to leave with a share of the spoils.
Stevenson could have won it at the death but his header came back off the crossbar.
Royton Town held neighbours Avro to a 1-1 draw in an entertaining derby.
Gareth Brooks netted for the hosts with a cross-shot from the right channel.
A James Hampson penalty secured a point for Avro.
DIGGLE were held to a 2-2 home draw by Britannia Sports in Huddersfield and District League Division One.
Uppermill suffered a 3-1 home reverse at the hands of Shepley.
Division One action saw Heyside earn a 1-0 triumph over promotion rivals Meltham Athletic.
Jason Titterington nodded in the only goal of the game after half-an-hour, following good Heyside pressure.
