FOOTBALL:
RIFLE Range ‘A’ booked their place in the D & J Builders (North-West) Ltd Oldham Sunday League President’s Trophy final after a penalty shoot-out triumph over Limeside King George.
The game finished 2-2, with Wayne Ware at the double for Limeside and Joe Jacombs and Dominic Hallam netting for Rifle, who went on to win 4-3 on spot-kicks.
They will meet Fitton Hill in the final, who were the 6-2 conquerers of Anglers.
Gareth Armstead led the way with four goals for the winners, while Darren Scanlon and Badby completed the rout. Walsh struck twice for the visitors but to no avail.
