MOSSLEY manager Steve Halford had mixed feelings after the club were awarded the Manchester FA Premier Cup by default.
Scheduled opponents Droylsden could not raise a team for the clash, which was supposed to take place last week.
The Manchester FA committee determined the silverware should be given to the Lilywhites. It will be presented at the home game against Skelmersdale United on Saturday.
Halford (pictured) said: “I am happy for us to receive the cup, but I would have liked to play the final, not least because I was confident of us causing an upset.”
Mossley lost 3-0 at Farsley in Evo-Stik League Division One North.
CHADDERTON were held to a goalless home draw by Northwich Villa in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
Paul Buckley’s men remain in ninth position in the table.
OLDHAM Boro were beaten 2-1 at ‘home’ by Formby in NWCL Division One.
The match was played at Atherton Collieries due to Boro’s usual base, Whitebank Stadium, being used by Oldham RL Club at the weekend, but it still counted as a home fixture.
