FORMER Premier League referee Paul Harrison will not need to brandish any cards at well-behaved members of Crompton and Royton Golf Club.
The 64-year-old will lead a happy contingent at the High Barn club, where he has been a member since 1995 following three years of “hacking around” municipal courses.
Married to Barbara for 19 years and set to celebrate their 20th anniversary in July, he has three sons from a previous marriage. Barbara has two sons and a daughter.
He is looking forward to his year as captain when his chosen charity is Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. There will also be a second Help For Heroes charity day in September.
Said Paul: “We are doing well as a club. Last year we kept our membership as it was and this year we have another 10 to 15 members, which is good.
