All eyes on open pairs

BOWLS: THE Delph open pairs gets under way tonight (6.30pm) when local players in action include I Howarth and G Woolley, J Ashton and L Schofield, M Gillies and P Heap, D and J Mountford, B Seville and S Mellor, and B Raynor and C Bennett.

Sunday’s heats begin at 1pm and among those on show are A Buckley and D Buckley, A and J Dearden, and J Lord and P Craig.

Four pairs will qualify from each session, with the finals on Sunday, April 22 (1pm).

ENTRIES are being accepted for the £1,000 Brennan Paving mixed pairs at Norden Bowling Club.
Heats will be held on Sundays April 29 and May 6, 13 and 20 (5.30pm), with the finals on May 27 (6pm).
