RUGBY: LEE Charlesworth emerged from retirement as Saddleworth Rangers clinched a dramatic 21-20 victory over Wath Brow Hornets in the National Conference League Premier Division.
The scores were level with just seconds remaining when the loose forward kicked a field goal to clinch his side a first win of the season.
It capped a great comeback from Rangers, who trailed by eight points with 12 minutes to go and went ahead for the first time with Charlesworth’s last-gasp intervention.
With new signing Mick Fogerty, the ex-Oldham RL centre, also in the line-up, Rangers had a lot more nous.
