NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: OLDHAM Boro boss Tony Mills has set his sights on climbing the table by beating tomorrow’s opponents Cheadle Town in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
Boro occupy 13th position, just one points behind 10th-place Cheadle having played the same amount of fixtures.
Victory tomorrow and other results going their way could see Mills’ side return to the top 10. The match is being played at Atherton Collieries but is counted as Boro’s final home game of the campaign.
Mills said: “We had to switch venues due to the state of the playing surface at Whitebank, but we still want to go out with a bang in our last home fixture of the season.”
CHADDERTON face Northwich Villa at Flixton FC in an away game in NWCL Division One. A triumph could propel Paul Buckley’s team to sixth place.
MOSSLEY round off their Evo-Stik League Division One North campaign tomorrow at Harrogate Railway Athletic. The Lilywhites can climb to 14th position.
