MOSSLEY ended the Evo-Stik League Division One North season in style with a 6-1 win at Harrogate Railway Athletic.
Steve Halford’s side secured 14th position in the table as a result of their comprehensive victory.
Lilywhites goalkeeper Martin Pearson saved Jon Maloney’s ninth-minute penalty after bringing down Luke Derham and receiving a yellow card.
The visitors went in front after 17 minutes through Ben Richardson’s neat strike, and he doubled the lead soon afterwards from close range.
Peter Band was penalised for hand ball and Colin Hunter tucked away a spot-kick for the home outfit, but the second half belonged to Mossley.
Richardson completed his hat-trick and Dan Queeley, Dave Young and Tom Denton also got in on the act.
CHADDERTON surrendered a two-goal lead against Northwich Villa and had to settle for a 2-2 draw in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
Ben Fletcher netted in the 22nd minute after good work from Chris Pauley for Paul Buckley’s side and Sean Nolan scored a stunning solo effort just after the break, after running the length of the pitch.
But Danny Wright (65) and Kwam Barnett (73) ensured a share of the spoils.
Chadderton entertain Irlam tonight (7.45pm kick-off).
OLDHAM Boro were beaten 2-0 by Cheadle Town in NWCL Division One. Arron Carroll (20) and Alex Monde-Leke (26) did the damage for Town.
