WERNETH against Oldham is always a passion-filled fixture in the Lake Garage CLL, so it is hoped that Sunday’s showdown at the Coppice survives the elements.
Both sides lost on the opening day of the season and, after two weekends without a ball being bowled, will be desperate to get a win under their belt.
Werneth warm up for the derby with a trip to Rochdale tomorrow, while Oldham entertain Clifton.
Royton look a side capable of making an impact this season and will be keen to build on their first-day win at Littleborough.
A trip to Heywood tomorrow will test their credentials, while Sunday brings a home game against Monton and Weaste.
Crompton are full of optimism at present and they will hope to follow up their opening victory over Clifton when they host Unsworth tomorrow and go to Milnrow 24 hours later.
