FRESH from one derby victory, Werneth go straight into another local showdown.
Having defeated Oldham last weekend, Matt Taylor’s men travel to Royton tomorrow for a match against their former team-mate and Paddock skipper, Alan Durose.
Durose, whose side have won two of their three completed CLL fixtures, are in confident mood, but wary of the threat that Werneth - and particularly pro Hasnain Abbas - will pose.
Victories over Littleborough and Monton and Weaste came either side of defeat at Heywood, a start which Durose is happy with.
CROMPTON suffered a couple of disappointing defeats last weekend and, as it is important to maintain their early-season optimism, their home fixture against perennial strugglers Ashton assumes extra significance.
OLDHAM, without a win in three fixtures, will be equally desperate for victory when they travel to Monton and Weaste.
