CALLUM Standring scored twice to give Rifle Range 'C' a deserved victory in the final of the D and J Builders
(North-West) Ltd Oldham Sunday League Division Three Shield at Chadderton FC.
Standring struck just before half time in a very even first period and then again shortly before full time as opponents Famous King George 'B' ran out of steam.
Range manager Andy Harrison said: "We were the better side in the first half, then we got the goal and our back line was fantastic.
"Callum took his two goals very well.”
Ian Kearns, the George manager, said: "I know we tired a bit towards the end and Range deserved to win the game but it was still a good day."
It was a good day for the league, too, with a crowd topping the 100 mark at Broadway.
Standring's two goals were quite similar, the striker finishing coolly when in one-on-one situations with George goalkeeper Dave Taylor.
