Champions Cot!

SNOOKER:
LITTLE Cot ‘A’ have again been crowned Pet Au Purrs Oldham Amateur Snooker League champions.
With Cot needing just one point to pocket the title, Dave Newton delivered the goods in the opening frame of their 3-3 draw at High Crompton. But with second-placed Moss Inn suffering a 5-1 defeat against Springbank ‘B’, Cot had little to worry about.
Moss kept hold of runners-up spot despite the loss, but the win consolidated an excellent season for ’Bank ‘B’, who finished third.
Little Cot ‘A’ managed a double as their cards team held off Deaf ‘A’ for the title, with Blue Club ‘B’ close behind in third.
