SURVIVING clubs from the Saddleworth and District Cricket League can rely on home advantage in round two of the LCB Cup on May 27.
The stand-out tie sees Bamford Fieldhouse play host to CLL leaders Heywood, who are only a six-hit away from Hollin Lane. Bamford beat Woodhouses by six wickets and Heywood overcame Flixton by seven wickets to set up the mouth-watering clash.
Heyside — awarded a bye in round one after Isle of Man team Castletown forfeited the tie — will lock horns with Chorley (Northern Premier League) at Little Hey Street.
Shaw’s reward for a comfortable 124-runs win over Old Xaverians is a match against Farnworth Social Circle (Bolton League) at Holebottom Clough. Lundi Mbane, the Shaw pro, scored 100 not out in the game.
