ASHLEY Beech secured his first points of the season after finishing 14th in the Donington Park round of the Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship.
The Moorside racer received two points for his display in the second race, having come 20th in the first earlier in the day.
In race one, Beech barely had time to get himself into the groove when he found himself in the gravel at the first corner, after being clipped on approach.
Rejoining proceedings in 34th place, he got the bit between his teeth and climbed 14 positions, finishing strongly.
His quick laps earned him a fourth-row start in race two and he grasped the opportunity with both hands, claiming a season-high 14th spot.
