Mid-table Egremont Rangers are the visitors to Higginshaw Lane in National Conference League Division One.
Chris Deakin’s side put 70 points on the board against Heworth, and although the coach readily accepts this weekend’s opponents will offer a much sterner test, he says the win has done his men the world of good.
“It was just what everyone needed,” said Deakin, whose side are second from bottom in the table.
Deakin is setting his sights on winning two of the next three games.
After Egremont, Saints visit Eccles next Friday, followed by a home match against Castleford Lock Lane.
Forwards Paul Cadd and Danny Kay are available for selection against Egremont after missing the cup tie because of work commitments.
SADDLEWORTH Rangers started like a house on fire against Bradford Dudley Hill in the Conference Challenge Cup last weekend.
They led 18-0 inside the first quarter, only to lose 36-18.
The Greenfield outfit will look to keep up the pace for the full 80 minutes when they go to Thatto Heath Crusaders in the NCL Premier Division tomorrow.
