WATCH out, Nick Campbell reckons Heyside are ready to open their shoulders.
The Little Hey Street club finally broke their duck for 2012 with victory over Saddleworth in round one of the Tanner Cup.
And now skipper Campbell is seeking an improvement in league form after opening up with three straight defeats.
He said: “I think it’s only a matter of time before we get a big score — something like 300.
“The win against Saddleworth has done our confidence the world of good, and now I want us to push on in the league, starting against Micklehurst this weekend.
“It’s always a decent track and a fast outfield up there, so everyone is looking forward to it.”
Heyside professional Gerrie Snyman struck 67 — he was assisted by John Selby’s fine 65 — in the Tanner Cup triumph.
The Namibian also did his bit with the ball, taking three for 17 from his allotted nine overs.
Campbell added: “Gerrie is enjoying the sunshine and I expect him to produce some fireworks once the wickets have dried out completely.
“He’s powerful and hits a big ball, so should be suited by conditions at Micklehurst.
“He also bowled well against Saddleworth and got his reward. He bowled quick off-spinners.
“We owed them one after last season’s Twenty20 Cup final when they beat us easily. It was a good win against a decent side.”
Heyside are in action on Sunday as well, with Chorley (Northern Premier League) the visitors for a second-round tie in the LCB Cup.
