RUGBY: WATERHEAD ‘A’ entertain neighbours Saddleworth Rangers ‘A’ tomorrow night in North-West Men’s League Division Four.
For the visitors, it is the latest chance to get their campaign up and running by registering a desperately-needed victory (7.30pm kick-off). Rangers are yet to pick up a point after five matches.
They won’t find it easy at Waterhead, who occupy sixth position after bagging two wins from four games, taking four points in the process.
Saturday’s action sees Rochdale Cobras travel to Leigh East in Division One. Cobras are third from bottom of the table but a win could lift them a few places if other results go their way.
In Division Three Oldham St Anne’s entertain Latchford Albion, and Rochdale Mayfield host Leigh Miners Rangers. Saints and Mayfield are both in need of a win, as they occupy the bottom two places in the table.
The Oldham outfit are yet to put a point on the board after five straight defeats. Mayfield have just one triumph and two points to their name so far this term.
Higginshaw look to earn their first point of the campaign when they travel to Cadishead Rhinos in Division Three. Three matches in, Higgy are third from bottom, ahead of only Widnes St Marie’s and Widnes West Bank.
Division Five action sees strugglers Fitton Hill Bulldogs get their teeth into a home clash with Hindley ‘A’. Bulldogs can jump up several positions if they get the better of the visitors.
