RUGBY: AN Oldham St Anne’s player is to take his career to the next level after being selected to represent Scotland in the Student Rugby League Four Nations tournament this summer.
Mark Lees, from Shaw, plays hooker for Saints and is eligible for selection through his Scottish grandfather.
He will head to the Glyndwr University Racecourse Stadium in Wrexham for the five-day event.
England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales play each other in a round robin tournament from this Sunday until Friday.
The 20-year-old will be joined in the squad by fellow UCLan Rugby League player Liam Wiggins.
Former Crompton House School and Hopwood Hall College pupil Mark said: “The Student Four Nations tournament sets a really good standard of rugby and will allow me to push myself and improve.
“I am really pleased to be selected.”
