CRICKET: THE Saddleworth and District Cricket League Twenty20 Cup, sponsored this season by Perfit Windows, gets under way tomorrow with five first-round matches.
Saddleworth, the holders, should be too good for Micklehurst, who are without a win since the opening day of the season.
Beaten finalists 12 months ago, Heyside, go to Glodwick while Hollinwood, who possess several players well-suited to the 20-over-a-side bash, entertain Droylsden.
Austerlands play host to Greenfield and Shaw welcome Uppermill to Holebottom Clough.
Fixtures (6.30pm) —
Austerlands v Greenfield; Glodwick v Heyside; Hollinwood v Droylsden; Saddleworth v Micklehurst; Shaw v Uppermill. Byes: Friarmere, Stayley, Moorside. Bamford Fieldhouse did not enter competition.
