THE Lake Garage CLL exited the Readers Inter-League Knockout - in their customary fashion.
Their annual demise in a bowl-out occured yet again at Middleton yesterday after only one innings was possible. The CLL batted against the Bolton League and made 155, mainly thanks to Danny Pawson (32), James Rawlinson (31) and Michael Burns (24).
But a downpour produced puddles all over the Towncroft surface and the subsequent bowl out was won 2-0 by the Bolton outfit.
The CLL colts fared much better, beating their North Lancashire and Cumbria League counterparts at Furness CC. The hosts batted first and made 146 for nine from their 45 overs, a score which the CLL passed for the loss of five wickets.
FOR the second successive match day, not a ball was bowled in the Lake Garage CLL.
All Friday night's matches in the Lees Bitter Twenty20 competition will now be played on June 25 (6.15pm).
