Forward power fires Oldham
Date published: 15 June 2012
OLDHAM RL reserves followed up their 16-10 win against Halifax at Whitebank by going to York last night and again conquering a Championship club, scoring six tries in a 36-16 victory.
Jamie Acton, at prop, led the forwards magnificently, receiving stout support from the rest of the pack, particularly from his fellow front-rower Danny Langtree and from loose-forward Danny Moran.
Tries were scored by Tommy Connick, Langtree, Kenny Hughes, David Cookson, Acton and Greg Worrall, with Steven Nield kicking six conversions from as many attempts.
