CRICKET: MILNROW will travel to Norden in the Wood Cup semi-finals on July 1 and Middleton are to host Rochdale.
Last-eight action in the Lake Garage CLL’s cup competition saw Declan Wilkinson claim three for 31 as Milnrow dismissed Heywood for 135, before reaching their target with four wickets spare.
Scott Stanworth's 59 helped Middleton reach 210 for nine prior to team-mate Zafar Zaman taking three for 49 as Unsworth were all out for 148.
Rochdale pro Malinda Warnapura posted a half-century as his team mustered 216 all out, and he shone with the ball, claiming three for 12 as opponents Monton and Weaste went for 125.
Norden pro Michael Price smashed 109 to help his side to a two-wicket win against Walsden, who had ended on 202 for nine thanks in no small part to Nick Barker's 70.
Not a ball was bowled on Saturday as the rain wiped out the league schedule.
