RANGERS: SADDLEWORTH Rangers have a difficult task tomorrow, but will be full of confidence that they can turn the tables and inflict a rare defeat on Ince Rose Bridge at Shaw Hall Bank Road (all kick-offs 2.30pm).
Emerson Jackman's side boosted their Premier Division survival hopes last week with a crucial 24-16 home defeat of East Hull — a contest in which scrum-half Kiel Lancashire claimed two tries and four goals.
A similar performance would certainly help the cause tomorrow, against a Wigan outfit currently sitting second in the standings.
Rangers are at the base of the pile, but a third victory of the season could in theory take them as high as third-bottom.
OLDHAM St Anne's continue to battle against a rising tide in Division One and a 40-10 home reverse against Wigan St Jude's last week was the club's 12th defeat in 13 league fixtures.
Chris Deakin will hope to lift spirits enough for the daunting task of facing York Acorn at Higginshaw Road, a club vying for the top spot with Bradford Dudley Hill.
IN Division Two, Waterhead will hope to build on last week's positive result when travelling to second-placed Shaw Cross Sharks.
Mick Diveney's try and four goals helped the Peach Road club to a 32-14 home win over Widnes West Bank.
Coaching team Paul Geener and Jon Perks will know that their men will have to again be at the very top of their collective game if they are to take anything away from a Dewsbury outfit pushing hard and level on points with table-topping Ovenden.
