Cup win for Uppermill

MICHAEL Bird hit 44 off 24 balls, including 28 from Andy Young’s final over, as Uppermill beat Shaw by 14 runs in last night’s Twenty20 Cup, first-round tie at Holebottom Clough.
Uppermill were dismissed for 117. Shaw were restricted to 103 for nine.
Uppermill are away to Moorside in round two on July 6.
