Mossley cup-tie

FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY will entertain Bootle or Alsager Town in the FA Cup preliminary round on Saturday, August 25.
The winners of the tie earn £1,750 in prize money. If the Lilywhites progress to the first qualifying round they will host Staveley MW, Hall Road Rangers or Bamber Bridge on September 8, with £3,000 up for grabs.
Steve Halford’s side travel to FC United on September 29 in the FA Trophy first qualifying round. The winners take home £2,550.
Before that, Mossley have some pre-season friendlies to look forward to as Halford prepares for the new Evo-Stik League Division One North season.
They host Athletic tomorrow at 7pm and Burnley on Saturday (3pm), with FC Halifax visiting on July 17 (7.45pm). Last season Mossley finished 14th in the table and lifted the Manchester FA Premier Cup.
Halford is gearing up for his first full campaign in charge, having succeeded Gareth McLelland last January.
