GOLF:
DUKINFIELD have their eyes on a cup double after reaching both Oldham and District Golf League finals.
Their ‘A’ team beat Brookdale 3-2 at Blackley with a last-green win for Barry Lees and Nicky Platt sealing the success.
And the ‘B’ team made it a miserable week for Brookdale as they repeated the 3-2 success in the ‘B’ Cup clash at Denton with Neil Driver and Paul Holden their last-green heroes.
Dukinfield ‘A’ will face Blackley after they beat Crompton and Royton 3-2 at Brookdale, while Dukinfield ‘B’ will meet Denton, who beat Blackley 3-2 at Dukinfield with two of the matches going to extra holes.
WERNETH lost 6-2 at Crompton and Royton in their rearranged league clash, but lead the East Division by four points going into the last two matches.
