Mossley eye new date for friendly

FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY have contacted FC Halifax Town in a bid to reschedule the friendly which had to be postponed at Seel Park on Tuesday night due to a waterlogged pitch.
Lilywhites secretary Harry Hulmes said it was disappointing to call off the match.
“But the pitch was wet through and we didn’t have a choice,” he explained. “I am not sure if we will be able to fit in the game before the end of pre-season, we’ll have to see.”
Steve Halford’s side host FC Hyde on Saturday (3pm kick-off), with at least three trialists set to play for the home outfit. Hulmes said fans can expect several more arrivals at the club before the start of competitive action.
