RADCLIFFE have been deducted 10 points and fined £250 after being found guilty by the CLL of bringing the league into disrepute.
Their actions in refusing to play against Norden at the Racecourse on June 23 incurred the wrath of the league.
Following continuous heavy rain, Radcliffe’s players considered their pitch too dangerous to play — despite the two umpires deciding otherwise.
Norden were ready to play, but Radcliffe’s players dug in their heels. Norden were subsequently awarded maximum points. Radcliffe now have 10 days to appeal.
