LCB Cup semi-finalists Bamford Fieldhouse and Heyside have received glowing praise from Versasteel Saddleworth and District Cricket League secretary Trevor Harrison.
The clubs battle it out on a date before August 18, with a place in the final at Old Trafford at stake.
Harrison believes the clash between Nick Campbell’s Heyside and Paddy McKeown’s Bamford can only be a good thing for the Saddleworth League.
He said: “Even though it would have been nice for them to meet in the final, at least this way one of our teams will definitely get to Old Trafford, which is good news for this league.
“It promises to be a great semi-final, and it is a tough one to call.”
