BLACK Saturday in the Lake Garage CLL saw defeats for all four local teams.
The heaviest loss was suffered by Oldham, routed by 10 wickets at home to Littleborough, for whom Phil Deakin took four for seven and Warron Williams four for 32 as the hosts were skittled for a meagre 73.
CROMPTON were brushed aside at Monton and Weaste, who took first guard and made 215 for five thanks to professional Paul Green's unbeaten 82 and 53 from Josh Lenihan.
Crompton were bowled out for 136 despite decent knocks from Danny Cashin (33) and Dave Roberts (31).
WERNETH could make little impact against league leaders Walsden at the Coppice.
Professional Ranil Dhammika scored an undefeated 60, Jake Hooson 50 and Nick Barker 43 not out as Walsden amassed 225 for three.
Dhammika's domination continued with the ball as he collected six for 44 in Werneth's disappointing 123 all out.
ROYTON'S top-eight prospects suffered a knock when they lost at home to Babar Naeem-inspired Milnrow.
Liam Mason top scored with 65 as Royton scored 190 for six off their 50 overs.
And that score proved to be within Milnrow's range as paid man Naeem hit an unbeaten 102.
MIDDLETON hold the upper hand in the John Willie Lees Wood Cup final after a rain-affected day at Towncroft.
Winning the toss and taking first guard, Middleton scored a daunting 255 for three thanks to an unbeaten 83 from professional Michael Smith, and fine supporting knocks from Tom Hardman (53), Steve Davey (44) and Grant Jones (34 not out).
In reply, Norden were 70 for two when the rain fell for a third and decisive time.
Play continues tonight, weather permitting, at 6.30pm.
