NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:
MOSSLEY get their Evo-Stik League Division One North campaign under way tomorrow when Bamber Bridge visit Seel Park.
The Lilywhites have enjoyed a promising pre-season with manager Steve Halford, assistant Peter Band and the coaching staff working hard to target the right players.
Halford has made eight signings, with many also returning from last term’s side.
Halford has retained skipper Dave Young and Keil O’Brien, while Halford and Band have both maintained their playing duties.
Wing-backs Cavell Coo, Ben Richardson, Kayde Coppin and Ben Fallows have also committed to the club, along with goalkeepers Martin Pearson and Xavier Parisi.
The new arrivals are midfielders Gary Gee, Chris Rowney, Jay Gordon and Brian Yearwood and strikers Sam Hind, Nathan Taylor, Gavin Salmon and Sam Madeley.
Halford is keen to cement a top-half finish this term, and aims to beat last season’s 10th place position.
CHADDERTON look to build on their 2-0 win at Emley in the FA Cup extra preliminary round when they host Ashton Town tomorrow in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
OLDHAM Boro entertain Atherton LR in NWCL Division One, hoping to bounce back from the 4-2 loss they suffered at the hands of West Didsbury and Chorlton last time out.
